Summary: Family of 4 with a 16yo and 14yo. We were in a group of six which was great for us. We had a fantastic day with John - paddling fairly leisurely across Derwent Water. Lovely location for a spot of lunch before heading off down River Derwent which was great fun. Out into Brassenthwaite lake. It got a little choppy here so had to put a bit more effort in! Great for a family who likes being out and about but not into extreme sports. John was a great teacher, very experienced and really easy to get on with. Trip was planned to perfection - John really knows what's he's doing.
