Summary:
This excursion turned out to be one of our favourite moments in our trip to Geneva.
Booking was very straightforward - make sure to book the full experience as the basic package only includes the coach ride to Chamonix, although people who had booked this were able to upgrade on the day.
Departure is at 8:30 prompt - we arrived early and easily located Niels and the coach. Niels was a fantastic guide throughout the day, full of enthusiasm and knowledge. He provided interesting information about Geneva on the bus, making this an interesting journey. Once we arrived, Niels was very clear in explaining the timings and meeting points, and we had a short amount of time before boarding the Aguille du Midi cable car.
This was an amazing experience, taking us to the very top of the mountain with the most stunning views! We had a perfect amount of time at the top to be able to see everything and take lots of pictures, and throughout Niels was excellent at making sure everyone knew the plan, as well as providing his own anecdotes and experiences. We then descended and Niels showed us the town centre, before we had some free time for lunch/shopping.
The day continued with the cog wheel train ride to Mer de Glace, which was another fantastic experience.
The whole day was extremely well planned, fascinating and unforgettable. I would not hesitate to recommend Niels and this tour. Would love to come back and do it all again.
