Summary: Excellent and informative morning with Jean Luc. Fantastic history lesson on the origins of Cognac, how it is made and finally how to taste it. Everything we had wanted from the course. Jean Luc speaks very good English. After we headed off for a lovely lunch at a restaurant recommended by Jean Luc and then onto a small private Cognac producer to buy some small batch Cognac we had tasted earlier.

Summary: The class gives you a great summary of how cognac making came to the region, the grape varieties and the process for making cognac. It also covers the topics of aromas and the development of flavours as the cognac ages. You then get to try three cognacs from the same maker of different ages to compare how the aroma and taste changes. The presenter is very knowledgeable and a nice guy. A very pleasant and worthwhile afternoon.
