Discover Digbeth Public Art and Peaky Film in Birmingham City Centre

Discover the atmospheric roots of Birmingham on a guided walk through Digbeth, where you’ll learn how the market hamlet grew into the “workshop of the world” and see the modern reinvention of the city - from atmospheric canals to new developments like HS2. You’ll follow the streets that inspired the Peaky Blinders series and, time permitting, visit the Digbeth.com studios where filming takes place - a great selfie opportunity - while experiencing the area’s diverse public art and bohemian-meets-modern vibe. The tour is timed so you can easily add our Saturday afternoon tour from the Library of Birmingham to make a full day of exploration, and it’s led by local author Jonathan Berg, who is writing the book “Birmingham’s Public Art,” due to be published in 2023.

Summary: I booked on the Digbeth and Public Art tour and my guide was Jonathan. I really enjoyed the tour, Jonathan is very passionate and knowledgeable and the two hours flew by inmmersed in fascinating conversations with Jonathan. The part I enjoyed most was seeing the Street art murals in Digbeth, they were stunning and I would not have found these by myself. I highly recommend it if you enjoy Street art! Below some photos of the tour and even one of Jonathan!
