Summary:
Our cruise ship anchored in Portoferraio for the day and we elected to hire a car (you won’t go wrong with TWN) and drive to Cavo rather than do the shore excursions offered on the ship. I won’t lie, I was a little apprehensive about the language difference and because I’m not an experienced diver, but Chris and the crew couldn’t have been more helpful.
The gear was great and the dives memorable. The visibility in these waters is unlike any other dive I’ve done and there’s plenty of sealife to see.
I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour!

Summary:
We are a small group of experienced divers and were looking for a destination in the Mediterranean that would allow us to discover new depths. We then evaluated the Island of Elba and in particular the center Nitrogen bubbles. Enrico helped us immediately to organize the holiday in the difficult week of mid-August. Right from the start we found ourselves in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere and also with the other diving guests a nice friendship was soon created. The diving is small, but equipped and there is everything you need. In the water, then, you will not be disappointed and some pleasant surprises soon mark our logbook indelibly. On each boat outing you visit two dive sites where guides highlight the unique underwater features and marine species like snapper, barracuda and grouper, making dives around Portoferraio especially memorable.
On each outing you will visit two dive sites. During the surface interval you can relax in the sun or swim and enjoy a snack provided while the crew prepares for the second dive, which is conducted using nitrox to increase dive time, safety and enjoyment.
Only those who hold a diving license can participate. The activity is not recommended for pregnant travelers or those with poor cardiovascular health. It’s suitable for all physical fitness levels otherwise, and infants and small children may ride in a pram or stroller while on shore or during non-diving times.
Before you enter the water the diving instructor or guide gives an in-depth briefing covering dive management, the chosen site, and all safety procedures on the boat and during the dive. The guide also manages the dive to ensure safety while helping you discover the site’s highlights.
Included are the scuba tank, weights and belt and use of scuba equipment. Exclusions include a private guide (30 euros), complete equipment rental (20 euros) and underwater scooter rental (40 euros), which you can add if needed.
