I’ve done quite a few walking tours over the years, but the Herstory Derry Tour was genuinely one of the most memorable.
Anne is a fantastic guide – incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and clearly passionate about the stories she tells. What makes this tour so special is that it shines a light on the women who are often missing from traditional accounts of Derry's history. It offers a fresh and fascinating perspective on the city, bringing to life the experiences, achievements and influence of women from different periods of Derry's past.
Anne has a real gift for storytelling. The tour was packed with interesting facts and insights, but it never felt like a history lecture. Instead, it felt like uncovering hidden stories around every corner, with Anne's warmth, humour and enthusiasm keeping us engaged throughout.
Whether you're visiting Derry for the first time or think you already know the city well, this tour will leave you seeing it in a completely new way. I came away having learned a huge amount and with an even greater appreciation for the city's rich history.
