Summary: Great day out with Desiree. I happened to be the only person on the trip. This meant that she could be flexible with my itinerary. We visited lots of places in the city including visiting a milk bar and a coffee shop and various museums and art galleries. She was very knowledgeable and I learned a lot. Would definitely recommend this day trip.

Summary: We (mom and 2 kids ages 12 and 14) had the BEST tour of Kigali with Eric of Go Further tours! We started the tour with a brief overview of the city and a learned a few phrases in Kinyarwandan. We then set off in a clean and comfortable car stocked with water for our day around the city. NOTE: bring your appetite!! We stopped off at a typical “milk bar” where fresh milk is sold, along with snacks of chapati. We also had a lunch of traditional foods, which was SO MUCH FOOD, lol! Everything was delicious and fresh. There’s also a stop at a beautiful coffee shop later in the afternoon. Eric was incredibly kind and patient with my kids, as well as open to thoroughly answering every question I posed along the way. We visited the market, a beautiful lookout point from Mount Kigali, several stops showcasing murals in the city, and the last stop is the genocide memorial. I highly recommend this tour as a great way to both see some major sights in the city as well as experience some more traditional parts of the culture. We really loved our day with Eric in Kigali!!

Summary: This is a long overdue but necessary review. Friends and I met in Rwanda for the launch of Virunga Mountain Spirits (VMS). Before making our way north to Musanze (home of VMS), we spent several days in Kigali enjoying various aspects of the arts, culinary, business, etc. scenes. The multi-day tour was led by the amazing team of Eric and Desiree, who are the best of the best. Not only did they provide in-depth historical and cultural perspectives, but shared their own experiences of life in Rwanda as the country continues to reshape itself. When you meet them, and I hope you do, you will find that they are exactly as their profiles indicate: intelligent, caring, fun, and dedicated to ensuring that all guests enjoy their time in Rwanda.

Summary: I had a terrific day with Eric in Kigali who is one of the best guides I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting! I booked the tour last minute the night before and am so happy with how it turned out. I had booked a half day tour but it turned into a full day (I compensated him of course) as once we met and I asked him about everything I hoped to see the day got long but he made it all happen, including a super delicious lunch at a local Rwandan place as I wanted to try Rwandan food (I loved it!). We went to a local market, milk bar, coffee place, lunch, the women’s cooperative, an art gallery and the Genocide Museum. I’d recommend all these stops as it’s a great way to better understand their culture, history and people. I rarely write reviews but I also rarely come across such an outstanding guide and company!!

Summary: I did the Kigali city tour and a visit to the Gorillaz, all which were arranged by Go Further. Desiree was excellent, and the days were well organized. She was flexible in her plans to match my interests — including a very interesting art gallery and a woman’s collective craft center. She spent a lot of time with me, and was always good company. A very good experience

Summary: Eric was an incredible guide! His passion and love for Rwanda really reflected on this experience which made it so wonderful. It was our first time in Rwanda and we wanted to learn more about the culture and history. Eric did an amazing job explaining everything and took us to authentic local businesses. 10/10 recommend!

Summary: I am so impressed with Go Further! I had the pleasure of going on the full day Kigali City Tour and the Akagera safari day trip with them and wish I had booked a longer trip with their guides and services for my time in Rwanda. From the very moment I reached out, the Go Further team was extremely responsive, detailed, and professional while providing me with additional details and responding to my multiple questions. When I (hopefully!) return to Rwanda, I won’t hesitate to reach out to them again. I thoroughly enjoyed the Kigali city tour. Although there aren’t a ton of traditional “tourist sites”, the tour does an excellent job of giving you perspective of daily life and culture in Kigali. We drove through multiple neighborhoods making big and small stops along the way – I especially loved the stop at the market and local milk bar and simply watching the chaos of life going by out the window of the car. Eric was an incredible guide – extremely personable, attentive, and knowledgeable about all different aspects of the tour. He is also an excellent conversationalist and simply talking with him was a highlight of the day. A great guide makes all the difference! A huge thank you to everyone involved in giving me such a memorable time in Rwanda! I can’t recommend Go Further enough

Summary: My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our full day city tour of Kigali guided by the wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable Eric. We started the day at a bustling city market where we got to interact with market traders and buy some beautiful fabric! We made a couple of stops at street art spots on the way to an authentic milk bar. We sampled two different types of milk and both were delicious. We then went upto the highest point of the city to Mount Kigali and whilst the view was a little hazy due to the season it was still a glorious view of the city! We then stopped for lunch and sampled a number of local dishes and then later in the afternoon visited the Genocide Museum which is an absolute must for anyone visiting Kigali and/or Rwanda. Incredibly moving. We were dropped back to where we were staying. A very enjoyable day and we highly recommend doing this tour to anyone visiting this great city!
