Summary: A great family day out! Part of our family did the "Family" trip and part of our family did the "adventure" trip. Family trip was a good match for most of us (super exciting for a 5 year old, enjoyable for adults, tame enough for my folks in their mid 70s). The "adventure" trip was indeed a bit more technical and more whitewater. You sit and enjoy on the family trip, you paddle if you're on the adventure trip. Both allow you opportunities to jump off a bridge (depending on water level) and swim in the river at 1 or 2 spots. The guides were friendly and welcoming. Note: You should be mobile enough to get yourself in/out of the raft and walk on some rocky terrain.

Summary: We arrived fairly early but the folks in the office suggested some things to do while we were waiting. I enjoyed a delicious latte before suiting up and meeting our guides. We rode the Black Pearl with Reagan as our guide. She provided a safe & fun rafting adventure for two first timers (adult & 11 yr). Awesome time with Reagan @ Madawaska Kanu Company. We will definitely return!
