Summary:
Our guide, Ximena, was fabulous! She took us to a beautiful waterfall, we made our own chocolate from scratch, hand fed butterflies and hummingbirds all the while learning so much about Ecuador along the way. It was a great tour that I highly recommend especially with Ximena.

What a fun day out with our guide! (if I recall correctly his name was Christian) He was an absolute delight despite us hitting some challenges along the way. One of the only roads to Mindo was closed, but he was undeterred— taking us through a tiny back road that got crazy backed up with traffic, but he kept a smile on his face and it was worth it! The hummingbird reserve was awesome- we both got to feed the hummingbirds and he got video and pictures of us very close. We went to a couple other areas and he was very knowledgeable- sharing the types of birds and telling us a little about them. We also shared a delicious lunch before heading back. We are all about the birds and he made sure we got to see the best! Thanks!
