FANTASTIC!
The Pacuare river is number 4 on the National Geographic’s most beautiful rivers in the world.
We can’t recommend this trip and company enough! Very professional and safety conscious at all times but still allowing us to have lively fun and enjoy the excitement of class 3/4 rapids.
Roberto is the owner and was the first Costa Rican to set up a rafting company. He collected us in a clean and well maintained minibus ( we have been in some really bad ones before!) to take you about 40 minutes to the river start point. All valuables were safe as Roberto was with the bus at all times
We were expertly guided by Fabio who has been on the river over 16 years and was great fun. Lots of banter and he delighted in getting our 19year old daughter and my husband wet at the front !!
BEAUTIFUL scenery. It’s breathtaking to paddle through the forest with the mist hanging on the top canopies and so SILENT.
The Pacuare river is super to raft as there are rapids followed by a bit of quiet time then the next rapids but flowing fast enough to not have to paddle too hard in between. Great contrast of scenery from top to bottom of the river
Simple but delicious lunch of burritos made from a great selection of fillings plus fresh pineapple. Great photos taken by Roberto’s son un the kayak that also acts as a rescue boat. Showers at the end and a beer if you want it to celebrate a great trip !
