Summary: Super beautiful ruins that you can still climb with spectacular views. We did this together with a jungle tour. Only viewed the tour for the jungle and the ruins themselves. Not as busy as chichen itza. The jungle here is also very cool with wild howler monkeys. Bring enough water!

Summary: Carlos was very knowledgeable. We had been to the ruins the day before, and we did a lot of reading before we came. We still learned a lot. He spoke a Mayan language as well as Spanish and English. We've wanted to see Palenque for decades, and this trip met our high expectations.

Summary: The best of the Mayan ruins I visited, easily beat Chichén Itzá. There was more to see than just lots of boulders piled on top of each other and there wasn't the same hysterical trade around the ruins. It was possible to see more carved figures etc in the ruins. Also had to climb up into some ruins.
