Summary: This was an amazing experience to travel on a small boat along the river, taking in the beautiful jungle and spotting wildlife. We were fortunate to see Proboscis monkeys at a distance, though I understand this is not guaranteed. We also saw Macaques, a variety of birds, and even a baby crocodile. My guide was excellent, very knowledgeable on Brunei's landmarks and the best spots to see wildlife. Overall I would strongly recommend this trip for any nature lovers who have a spare few hours in Brunei.

Summary: Excellent boat trip to see proboscis monkeys hiding in the mangrove trees. The guide and the boat operator were super helpful to spotting the monkeys and putting the boat in good locations to photograph the monkeys.

Summary: I loved this boat trip, to see the spectacular scenic beauty of the wilderness along the Brunei River. my tour guide was Mohammad Effendi, and his buddy who drove the boat, and were able to spot the elusive proboscis monkeys who live in the forests. We were able to see two females, and one large alpha male who had a large red nose and a protuberant belly. This is a highly recommended tour wile in Brunei. The proboscis monkeys can only be found in the island of Borneo.

Summary: Couldn’t recommend this boat tour enough. The guide was extremely knowledgeable, funny and super friendly. This combined with the nature on offer in Brunei made those few hours completely unforgettable. 10/10.

Summary: Great guide that knew about the area, the animals and the country - and he shared a lot with us. The boat driver was good at spotting animals to stop by for us to see. Great trip.

Summary: Amazing trip, stunning nature, great guide and boat « driver » they were both very involved in finding these big nose monkeys. I saw many groups, even if they are shy I got good looks of them. Use your eyes instead of your camera because it goes fast.

Summary: Put this Tour number TWO on your list! Bruneian Guide "Haji" had great pre-tour communication both with email and WhatsApp. I would put his other tour, Bandar by night, as my number one tour in Brunei! His tour guide, Fendi, was amazingly, insightful, proud, and it showed! Fendi‘s & his boatman gave us Brunei by water with amazing views and then I got to see the long nosed, proboscis monkey!

Summary: Amazing morning along the mangrove forest. Saw lots of proboscis monkeys! We were very happy! Saw an otter and at least 5 salt water crocs!

Summary: A super friendly and perfect English speaker guide and boat captain, many friendly and grumpy but funny monkeys. We really took the time (not like it was with other guides in Zanzibar) to have a valuable contact with 2-3 type of monkeys and 3-4 groups, so actually to visit them during their breakfast. I got a lot if info about the country and Water Village too which we also visited. I am not surprised that they do it since 15 years, and it became a perfectly organized tour then, like a theater play. I am sure the monkeys also know that and cooperate when they can, at least they are not as afraid. :) I wish them another and more than 15 years in this success story! Note: if someone wants to see crocodiles, high chances too.. My eyes could not catch it perfectly but there was one despite the tide was not for them.

Summary: Wonderful boat tour around Bandar Seri Begawan and through fascinating rainforest nature! The tour guide and boat driver are very friendly, and gave us all cultural, historical and scientific information related to everything we got to see, from royal buildings, water villages and water schools to rare animal species. They know where to find all exotic Borneo wildlife, we observed proboscis monkeys, crocodiles, large eagles, regular monkeys, monitor lizards and various bird types. Definitely recommend this, the beautiful views are worth it already!
