Summary: We spent several nights at this wonderful home, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more! Our family consists of our adult children and their spouses and our older teens. The setting is just lovely and the best part about the house are the large windows that bring you right to the water! The main living and dining spaces take advantage of this incredible view! The house layout was perfect for our group, allowing both family space and individual/couples spaces. There were many thoughtful guest items, like plenty of paper products, spices, coffee, and even pool towels already there! We had brought those items with us, but the provided coffee was a lifesaver the morning we left, as we used up the coffee we brought the night before! The best part about this property is the location and wonderful outdoor layout! The driveway winds down a tree-lined road and opens up onto this glorious waterfront space! There is ample lawn for the dogs to run and the pier provides access to fishing, crabbing, and getting out on the water. There are tiny crabs all over the sandy area that our dogs had so much fun sniffing and chasing! They had a great time in the marsh grasses and swimming in the cove, too! There is tranquil garden space with lots of shade, a spacious fire pit area, and so much quiet and privacy! We loved having morning coffee in the Adirondack chairs, overlooking the cove. And, drinks there in the evening! The house is great, but you just want to be outside the whole time, and this property is perfect for that!! We all loved the saltwater pool and there were tons of accessories provided for fun (floats, noodles, balls, etc). Plenty of loungers to lie out and tables too! Just fyi - super dog friendly home/space, but dogs are not allowed in the pool area due to the impact of their fur on the pool filter. We did a little antique shopping around Exmore and surrounding areas and our son and his wife also explored Cape Charles, just a short drive away. Our only regret is that we didn’t book a full week. We hope to be back again and this time for longer. Mary, the owner, is thoughtful and communication was fantastic. Thank you for a memorable and special family time!!
