Experience WW2 Small Arms in Concord, New Hampshire - Hands-On WWII Small Arms Activity

Summary: Ended up being the only one there that day due to others canceling, but even so ended up talking about firearms, reloading, and everything in between for three hours before going shooting and it was absolutely fascinating. An incredibly wide variety of weapons, stories, and knowledge all on display that I frankly think this is a bargain for the price. Better if you're already a shooter, but still great if you don't know much about firearms. Would 100% go again if I'm ever in the area again.

Summary: Great chances to make a deep dive into the history of WWII and get up close and personal with the iconic firearms. Pete has an amazing collection and can give you the backstory behind each gun if you are interested in the historical context. He personalizes the experience to your specific interests—so if you just want to shoot you can, but if you are a history buff you can get the whole story! I appreciated that flexibility and really enjoyed learning the history of some specific guns in his collection. Of course the shooting range was the highlight—and despite wet weather it was comfortable. Pete has it setup with a tarp to protect the shooting position against weather and even with steady rain I was able to stay dry while shooting. Highly recommend this unique experience!

Summary: Take your time and don't plan anything more if you spend a day with Pete. We were there for about 7 hours. He was very knowledgeable about the rifles and pistols of WW2 and the history behind them. Thank you Pete we had a fantastic experience.

Summary: Myself, my 2 sons and son in law had an amazing time learning all about the various WW2 weapons on hand. Pete was an extremely knowledge host, and geared his explanations to the various levels in our group. My youngest son 20 years old is a WW2 buff and he could have stayed all day listening to Pete. We already have 2 from the group planning a return trip , I would highly recommend Pete's adventure to all.

Summary: A wonderfully kind man, a story behind every firearm, and a hands-on environment that you won’t get from any other gun-rental company. Too often have I gone to museums and seen precious artifacts, but never could I hold them in my hand. At this experience, Pete will tell you the intricate story of a firearm, and then say “here, hold this,” as he picks up another one. I got to hold a lot of dream guns that day, and I can’t recommend this experience enough.

Summary: The photographs, stories, and weapons make this trip great. I got it as a surprise for my boyfriend and his best friend, the two were beaming the rest of the day and excitedly telling me what they got to do. Perfect for the history buff or honestly any guy that likes to shoot. The owner was very friendly and knows his stuff! I hope the business grows and definitely recommend it. Be sure to carve out an entire day for it, time varies but it took longer than expected. That means they got the full experience (we are grateful), it was very informative and fun!

Summary: You may go in thinking the firearms will be the main attraction, but Pete is the real star. Pete is a wonderful, welcoming and enthusiastic historian and teacher and was very generous with his time. You get to see a very wide range of historic weapons, while gaining an understanding of their evolution and role in combat. The shooting component (one rifle, one handgun, one submachine gun and then the belt-fed 30mm machine gun) was everything we hoped for and much more. Pete made sure everything was done safely, but also made it totally fun at the same time. We plan to repeat this experience, hopefully more than once, so we can try some of the other firearms. It was really hard to choose this first time, particularly once the history lesson made us more curious/aware of the importance of some of the weapons than we were before. A nice problem to have! Just to note: two in our party, including me, had never fired a weapon before. This was no problem at all, thanks, again, to Pete’s teaching ability and safety focus. Can’t wait to do it all again.
