Hike Snowdon at Sunrise - Book Your Early-Morning Adventure in Beddgelert, Caernarfon

Summary: We had such a great time doing the sunset tour and although we didn’t see the sunrise due to the weather we are so glad we did this nevertheless! We cannot thank our guide Hywyn enough, he made the trip really Interesting, was extremely knowledgeable and we shared many laughs together along the route! We highly recommend 😊

Summary: Just a quick note to say thank you to our amazing guide Hywyn. He guided three of us on our sunrise hike up Yr Wydffa (on 10/10/25) with the perfect mix of encouragement, enthusiasm, stories so we could catch our breath and give our legs a break and belief in us. We were three very different people and he successfully got us all up to the summit as the sun rose (with a stunning inversion !) There were times on the way up when i thought i would have to stop…but Hywyn was positive i would make it and i did. Thank you for your support and belief and for enabling me to have such an amazing experience Hywyn!

Summary: Hywyn was an amazing guide we were forecast heavy rain and told we would turn round if conditions wernt safe, we made it to the top there was no sunrise but amazing veiws and Hywyn was very knowledgeable we felt safe at all times even considering the conditions :)

Summary: I wasn’t originally taking part in this night time / sunrise experience and was pretty much the taxi and breakfast maker for my wife on her return who wanted to do it. I was somehow talked into participating and it was simply fantastic. I’m not what I’d call super fit so was a bit worried about keeping up but our guide Hywyn kept me motivated, he was so knowledgable about every part of our surroundings and kept my spirits high with his humour and stories. I opted to purchase a head torch from MountainX which I received at the meeting point, it was great quality for the money paid and lit up the path as we climbed. The darkness doesn’t prevent you from seeing the breath taking views but gives you an alternate perspective with the moon light, cloud, stars and silhouettes of this amazing landscape. We weren't lucky enough to catch a sunrise at the summit due to the cloud but this took nothing away from the experience. Coming down in the morning light again gave you different and spectacular views of our surroundings and most of all why we’d just achieved. I’d recommend MountainXperience to anyone wanting to have this experience, thanks again Hywyn and yes as you ask me back at the bottom , I’m so glad I did do it. John

Summary: I initially signed up for the Snowdon sunrise hike as a solo, female traveller and I was a little worried about hiking a mountain in the dark with a guy I’d never met. However, our guide, Hywyn was fantastic. We ended up as a small, lovely group but honestly, even if I’d been the only one to book on I’d have felt 100% safe and comfortable. Hywyn’s love for, and knowledge of the mountains was obvious from the second we set off. He told us fascinating stories and gave us encouragement on the tougher parts, regularly checking that we were all okay and pointing out interesting things along the route that I’d never have otherwise noticed. Hywyn had thought of, and planned for everything we needed along the way. We didn’t see the sunrise unfortunately, due to the cloud coverage but the experience of walking in the mountains at night was so magical I really didn’t feel I’d missed anything. My advice-get Simons book and remember your gloves! I will definitely be booking another adventure with Mountain Xperience! Thankyou Hywyn!

Summary: The Sunrise Hike to Yr Wyddfa was fantastic and I can’t recommend this enough. Our guide, Hywyn, really made it worthwhile. An early start is always going to be challenging but Hywyn kept us motivated with his experience, knowledge and stories of his many treks through the mountains. We had our teenage nephew with us and Hywyn was able to keep him motivated. We enjoyed a great hike with a starry night interrupted by a little cloud. We were never pushed too hard and had just the right amount of little breather breaks to keep us strong. Unfortunately the summit was shrouded by cloud - as so often happens - but by this time our group felt bonded and we celebrated nonetheless. As we trekked back down, we realised just how popular the Llanberis Path was and commented on how glad we were that we’d made the effort to take a sunrise hike and avoid the peak Saturday Walker traffic. We really don’t think it’d have been as enjoyable or achievable without Hywyn - thank you!

Summary: I wanted to do the snowdon sunrise hike with my son as part of my 60th year celebrations. I did feel quite apprehensive as I have never done anything like that before but I needn’t of worried because our guide Sadie was amazing , very supportive the whole of the climb as well as being informative, with a rucksack full of extras in case we needed anything! She was kind, calm and made the climb extremely memorable… Thak you Sadie your an absolute star 🌟 would I book again ? Or course I would ! Thank you ☺️

Summary: We wanted to pick something to challenge a group of work colleagues whilst raising money for our chosen charity at the same time. Working with Mountain Xperience was simple and easy and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for other groups.
