Charming loft apartment recently renovated in an 1890's building in the ''Old City'' center of town.

This space has tall ceilings and 3 large wooden door windows that give way outside to an outstanding veranda with forged iron hand rails from where you can observe neighborhood city life below, or look out to the nearby sea.
A few feet away from the intersection of the 2 main walking streets in the Old City and 2 blocks from the "Rambla" walkway lining the Rio de la Plata. Just a few blocks away from the famous Mercado del Puerto, Plaza Zabala, Plaza Independencia, and other main attractions of the ''Ciudad Vieja". This apartment is located up a flight of marble stairs, on the first floor of one of the old city's architectural heritage buildings.
Decorated in an eclectic / vintage style, with beautiful furniture and various unique objects and art pieces. This apartment features a large kitchen and is fully equipped, in case you chose to ''stay at home'' and cook whatever you please. You may shop at one of the areas many markets or you may buy fresh produce from the traditional street fair near by.

Up a few more stairs you will have access to the terrace, where the magnificent views become inevitable. You will enjoy the sun setting behind the river, the port activities towards one side, with the Fort at the top of the ''Cerro" in the distance, and the city and the emblematic ''Palacio Salvo'' towards the other side.

My partner and i will be available for whatever you may need since we live in the other apartment in the same building. We will be happy to recommend you some of our favorite restaurants, museums, activities and corners of the city that are not to be missed.

No smoking is allowed inside the apartment. Acces to the building is only for registered guests.
Ciudad Vieja is a unique place. With a great versatility of people, and a lot of cultural and gastronomical variety to offer.
Looking at a map you can see the Old City is located on a peninsula, which allows us to breathe fresh air from the river and which also offers magnificent views towards all directions.
It is the historical quarter of Montevideo, accounting for the richest and most important architectural heritage of the city. Here you will find a great variety of historic buildings that have been either recycled or excellently conserved. These live side by side with their abandoned counterparts, some in a total state of decay. Photo oportunities are endless!
The apartment is located less than a block away from the city bus stop. From there you may take off to other spots in town. An easy and not too expensive alternative is taking an Uber or a cab. You may also rent a bike and enjoy the 20km of the coast lining ''rambla'' for an unforgetable ride!
